Svetlana is a professional dancer and choreographer originally from Moscow, Russia where she grew up and started her dance career as a competitive ballroom dancer at the age of 7. Later, she began her training in various dance styles and joined JazzModernShow dance company, performing at numerous events and dance festivals in Moscow. At the age 20 Svetlana received a full year scholarship from Institut de Formation Professionnelle Rick Odums (Centre International de Danse Jazz) in Paris, France and left her hometown to chase her dreams. Then Svetlana moved to New York City to further her dance training in the Steps on Broadway Conservatory Program. In 2016 Svetlana was honored to be one of twelve female dance students of the Musical Theatre Dance Program at the School at Jacob’s Pillow, directed by Chet Walker . She has since performed in the US and Canada with the National tour of PIPPIN and has also enjoyed performing in regional theater productions (Download Resume).

Svetlana has been privileged to work on stage as well as on camera. While being mostly focused on dance, she develops the other sides of her artistry by studying acting and directing. She is currently represented by LDC Artist Representation in NYC.

Svetlana is also a choreographer – her work was presented at several venues in NYC (Jazz Choreography Project, Steps Repertory Ensemble Showcase, Choreographer’s Canvas, Dumbo Dance Festival). In her hometown Svetlana is known as a jazz dance educator - while visiting she is teaching jazz dance master classes, supporting the dance community of Moscow.
